Creating change-out heads for our own use was the first foray into sculpting forms. It seemed that for many of the life-sized mannikins available the sculptors spent more time refining the body than they did with the heads. Although the bodies are obviously important, taxidermists using these forms have to bring all of their sculpting skills to each project, when it comes time to work on the head.

We obtained great results with the heads, and that led us to sculpting life-sized forms as well. Whether taxidermists choose to use either the user friendly life-sized forms or the original change-out heads they will produce a better quality product, and do so in a shorter amount of time.
